By downloading or using the NightCrawl mobile app or website ("the app"), operated by Wadsworth AI LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
NightCrawl is not an emergency service. Nothing in this app is a substitute for 911, official emergency alerts, or instructions from local authorities. Do not use it to make safety decisions. In an emergency, call 911.
NightCrawl is a directory and aggregator of publicly available police/fire scanner and severe-weather livestreams hosted on YouTube, Twitch and Kick, together with publicly published incident information. We do not host, produce, moderate or control any stream. All streams remain the property of their creators and platforms. NightCrawl is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any streamer, YouTube, Twitch, Kick, any law-enforcement agency, or any government body.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. The app surfaces real police, fire and severe-weather incident content, which some users may find distressing and which may be unsuitable for minors.
The Scanner Feed reproduces public records of police, fire and traffic dispatch calls published by city and county agencies (currently San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle, Austin, Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Los Angeles Fire Department's incident alerts). You should understand that:
Live-status indicators, incident entries and typical-schedule estimates elsewhere in the app are likewise informational and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong.
The app and all content in it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that any stream will be available — availability is controlled entirely by its creator and hosting platform and may end at any time.
You agree not to: disrupt or attempt to disrupt the service; scrape or automate access at abusive volume; attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; use the app to harass, stalk, or locate any individual; submit false, unlawful, infringing or abusive content through ratings, streamer suggestions or feedback; or use the app in violation of any applicable law or of YouTube's, Twitch's or Kick's terms.
Ratings, streamer suggestions and feedback you submit are your responsibility. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them to operate and improve the app. We may remove any submission at our discretion.
The app works fully without an account. If you choose to create one, you sign in with a one-time code emailed to you; there is no password. Anyone who can read that email inbox can sign in, so keep it secure. Your account syncs your favorites, alerts, blocked streamers, regions, ratings, watch history and profile name/bio between the phones you sign in on; the Privacy Policy explains exactly what is stored. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account & Sync → Delete Account, which removes it and its synced data from our servers. We may suspend or delete an account that is used to breach these terms.
The free app shows advertising served by Google AdMob; see our Privacy Policy for what that involves. You can buy a one-time Remove Ads upgrade through Google Play. It turns off ads on devices signed in to the same Google account, for as long as we offer the app. Purchases are processed by Google Play under its terms, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. We may change which ads appear or how often, but never so that an ad covers a stream you are watching.
NightCrawl links to third-party streams and displays platform-provided thumbnails and metadata. If you are a rights holder and believe material surfaced by the app infringes your rights, contact support@nightcrawl.app with a description of the work, the location in the app, and your contact details, and we will review and act promptly. If you are a streamer and would prefer not to be listed, tell us and we will remove you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wadsworth AI LLC and its officers and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for any personal injury or property damage, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the app or your reliance on any content in it — including scanner, incident or live-status information. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, for a free app, is nothing) or USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Wadsworth AI LLC from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of the app or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and, if you created one, deleting your account. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or any part of it, at any time and without notice. We may block access for anyone who breaches these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may seek relief in small-claims court.
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in full force.
We may update these terms. The effective date above always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
